According to Nick Paglino of http://www.wrestlezone.com/ he has confirmed through an inside source at TNA that the confrontation between Awesome Kong and Bubba the Love Sponge was indeed real. His article provides some information not revealed on Bubba's radio program. Wisely, the author does present the possibility that this could have been a "work", and that the attack was staged by Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo. In my humble opinion, if Vince Russo has anything to do with this, then maybe he shouldn't be fired after all. Of course, it is unlikely that he is creative enough to be involved.
